DMCA / Copyright Policy

1. Our position on copyright

PixelCache respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users and rights holders to do the same. We comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (the "DMCA") and the equivalent processes in other jurisdictions. If you believe content hosted on or linked from pixelcache.org infringes your copyright, please follow the procedure below.

2. Designated DMCA agent

All copyright notifications should be sent to our designated agent:

  • Email (preferred): dmca@pixelcache.org
  • Subject line: "DMCA Takedown Notice — [name of work]"

Notices sent through any other channel may be delayed or missed.

3. How to file a takedown notice

To be valid under the DMCA, your notice must be a written communication that includes substantially the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works are covered, a representative list).
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including its specific URL on pixelcache.org so we can locate it.
  • Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Knowingly making material misrepresentations in a takedown notice may subject you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

4. Our response

Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material expeditiously — typically within 24–72 hours.
  • Notify the user or party responsible for the material (where applicable) that the content has been removed.
  • Provide that party with a copy of the takedown notice and information on how to file a counter-notification.

5. Counter-notification

If you believe your content was removed in error or as the result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Send the counter-notification to dmca@pixelcache.org and include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which PixelCache may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notification or an agent of that person.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. Unless the complainant files a court action seeking a restraining order against the responsible party within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed material.

6. Repeat infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, PixelCache maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the access of users and content contributors who are repeat infringers.

7. International rights holders

Rights holders outside the United States may use the same process described above. We will evaluate non-DMCA copyright notices in good faith under the laws applicable to your jurisdiction.

8. Good faith and abuse

Please file notices only with respect to content you genuinely own or are authorized to act on behalf of. Abusive or fraudulent notices waste everyone's time and may expose the sender to legal liability.
